RICCALL United emerged as 2-0 winners in their premier division title battle with Old Malton St Mary’s in the York Minster Engineering Football League.

Gary Collier gave the visitors the lead midway through the first half after Robbie Baker, a late replacement in goal for Saints ’keeper Toby Wells, parried Will Ramsay’s shot into his path.

The second goal came from the penalty spot through Wayne Brook after Chris Coxon was brought down.

Leaders Malton were then reduced to ten men by the dismissal of Baker.

Terrington moved up to fifth place with a 5-2 defeat of Dringhouses.

Johnny Brown bagged a hat-trick, with Alex Yates and Chris Leedham also making the scoresheet.

Mike Mackenzie and 16-year-old Alex Robinson found the net for the hosts.

Wigginton took part in their fifth 2-2 draw in seven games as they entertained St Clement’s.

Liam King gave the visitors the lead on 20 minutes after a comedy of errors in Grasshoppers’ defence.

Lee Stewart equalised from close range eight minutes later and he then raced onto Josh Luckhurst’s through ball to rifle home his second and give Wiggy the lead on the half hour mark.

In the second half, the home side had a penalty claim turned down shortly before King raced through to level the scores and seal a point for the visitors.

In division one, Jonah Beecher’s goal helped Church Fenton White Horse inflict a first defeat on leaders Tadcaster Magnets.

Brooklyn and Tockwith drew 1-1, with Andrew Metcalfe on the scoresheet again for Brooklyn.

Osbaldwick and Hemingbrough shared four goals.

Andrew Bilton gave Osbaldwick the lead after 42 minutes, but Jamie Wheeler levelled just after the restart.

Tom Wheatland restored the home side’s advantage on 60 minutes, but Wheeler got his second with 15 minutes left.

Hamilton Panthers hit back from 2-1 down at half-time to win 3-2 against Pocklington Town.

Paul King scored from the penalty spot in the first half for Panthers, who claimed the win with second-half goals by Scott Milling and Kevin Butler.
