A goal two minutes from time from Jamie Sedman kept Bubwith White Swan’s promotion hopes on track after they came from behind to beat visitors Hambleton 2-1 in division two of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby York Sunday Morning League.
Hambleton took an early first-half lead but a goal from Tom Robinson restored parity before Sedman’s late winner.
Albion Vaults beat visitors York Nomads 6-2 led by a hat-trick from Dave Hullah.
Nomads started stronger and were denied an early lead by Albion goalkeeper Dan Montgomery.
But Vaults gradually took control with a brace from Hullah followed by a Tom Wheatlands’ reply for a 2-1 half-time score.
Albion went 3-1 up just after the restart though and Hullah completed his triple blast. Chris Coxon and Paul Tanton completed the rout, with James Haig bagging Nomads’ second.
Drax striker James Barrett netted his fourth hat-trick of the season with a four-goal haul in a 6-3 win over York Phoenix. Neil Harrison and Stuart Harrison were the other marksmen, while the Phoenix scorers were Nick Horne (2) and Fabio Andrade.
