DEJA VU is what Pickering Town boss Mitch Cook wants to feel when his men host Long Eaton United tomorrow.
The Pikes chief was “delighted” with a 3-1 home Northern Counties East League premier division victory over Worksop Parramore last weekend and has thrown the gauntlet down and demanded more of the same from his squad.
“I know the players and I know what they are capable of,” said Cook. “It is about getting it out of them week in and week out.
“They were ready and up for it. There was a tempo up front and it was a good game played in really difficult conditions.
“It’s about consistency. That’s what has been missing. We have had performances like this before and then the next game hasn’t been as good. We want the same again.
“We want to continue what we did last week. It will be a difficult game but everyone should be available.”
The Pikes added former Tadcaster Albion goalkeeper Leon Wrigglesworth to the squad.
Cook said the deal was “sorted” and the more has been sanctioned after they put in a seven-day notice of approach.
Wrigglesworth left Albion earlier in the month and Cook said he is delighted to have the player in his squad.
“He is a good ’keeper and he played absolutely brilliantly when we played them earlier in the season,” he said.
“I know him from the last time I was at Pickering when he was in the under-19s.
“I didn’t just want to bring anyone in but he is a good ’keeper and that was reflected in Callum Myers’ performance last Saturday.”
Selby Town, meanwhile, host AFC Emley in NCEL division one, while Knaresborough Town go to Hallam.
A trip to Colwyn Bay awaits Harrogate Town in Conference North and Harrogate Railway entertain Burscough in Evo-Stik first division north.
Scarborough Athletic are at Sutton Coldfield Town in first division south.
