PROLIFIC Danny Gray came off the bench to net seven second-half goals in title favourites King William’s 12-1 battering of Enterprise in division one of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Football Morning League.

The unbeaten table-toppers went ahead in the 20th minute through Mitch Carter before a Danny Snaith goal and a 25-yard thunderbolt from Danny Pedras.

The second half belonged almost exclusively to Gray with his sevenstrike haul, supplemented by Luke Hall and Josh Leemin goals before a Sam Bryant consolation for Enterprise.

In division two, promotion hopefuls Bubwith White Swan missed the chance to inch closer to leaders Leeman United after goals from Jamie Sedman and Si Holder put them 2-0 up.

Chris Harkin made it 2-1 before Leon Wood netted to put Swan 3-1 up at half-time.

Albion’s Dave Hullah reduced the deficit just after the restart ahead of a Paul Tanton leveller. Albion secured the points and a 5-3 win with strikes from Matt Howden and substitute Dave Reasbeck.

Haxby Lions gained their first win in 11 games after coming from behind to an Adam Chaplin penalty to beat York RI. Tom Matthews and Sam Woods each hit a brace, while Dale Waddington sealed the nap hand.

Leeman United are through to the semi-finals of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby Senior Challenge Trophy after beating Severus 2-1.

United dominated the first half to lead 2-0 with goals from Alan Reid and Ollie Newby. Severus gained second-half supremacy, but their only reward was a 25-yard free-kick smashed home by Craig Atkinson.

l Britannia Tadcaster and Snaith will meet in the Junior Challenge Trophy final after winning their respective semi-finals.

Britannia beat fierce rivals Tadcaster Magnets 4-0, all the goals coming in the second half in which a Danny Bass opener was followed by a hat-trick from Adam Field.

Snaith smashed Barlby 6-2, the plunder shared by Rob Tate, Will Sparks, Matt Whitaker, Sam Westerman, Brad Thompson and Mark Baggaley.
