KING William and Hounds will go head to head in the final of the York FA Sunday Morning Senior Cup.

York Sunday Morning League division one leaders King William beat Leeman United 5-0 in the last four of the Helmsley Group-sponsored competition, while Hounds won 3-2 at Dunnington.

King William broke the deadlock after 20 minutes when the Leeman keeper spilled a high ball and Kev Butler fired home.

Danny Gray latched onto a rebound from a defender two minutes later and Kev Hall made it 3-0 before the break when he beat the off-side trap and lobbed the keeper.

In the second half, more King William pressure took its toll when Gray ficked the ball over a centre-half, rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into the open net.

Substitute Josh Leeming scored from Butler's header to round off the win.

Dunnington went 1-0 up in other semi-final, but Harry Brigham equalised for Hounds just before half-time.

Jack Healey and Ben Yorke made the score comfortable for Hounds but, with five minutes to go, Bart Swainston pulled a goal back for Dunnington.

The final of the York FA Sunday Morning Junior Cup, sponsored by Richardson’s Butchers of Woodthorpe, will be between Britannia Tadcaster and Haxby Lions.

Britannia beat Eggborough Rangers 2-0 with Alistair Ward breaking the deadlock on 65 minutes with an 18-yard shot.

Andrew Kitchen lobbed the Eggborough keeper with ten minutes to go.

A Joe Galloway hat-trick kept Haxby level with Tadcaster Magnets at half-time, but they won the tie through Dale Waddington’s 65th-minute penalty and an Adam Wash goal five minutes from time.

Meanwhile, Station's title hopes look to be all-but over in division one of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby York Sunday Morning Football League after they could only draw 1-1 at basement side Enterprise.

The Selby side took the lead after only five minutes with a goal from Gary Collier, but Sam Bryant scored from a corner to tie the scores.

With division two leaders Leeman United on FA Cup duty Huntington Rovers closed the gap to five points with two games in hand with a 3-1 win at Hemingbrough. Rovers who played the first ten minutes with only nine men raced into a 3-0 half time lead once they were up to full strength. Luke Zacharenko netting the lone reply for Hemingbrough.

Beeswing came from behind three times to earn a 3-3 draw at Albion Vaults. Dave Hullah opened the scoring for the home side. Wings Liam Keenaghan equalised with a curling shot into the top corner.

Albion went into the break 2-1 up after a goal from Chris Coxon. Anthony Evans with a powerful far post header made 2-2. Paul Tanton struck to give Albion a 3-2 lead but Mark Triffitt with a shot come lob that looped over the keeper earned Wing a point in their battle against relegation.

The only game in division three saw leaders Marcia Grey open up a nine point gap over their nearest rivals after they beat Barlby 6-2. The visitors struck first with a goal from Steve Abbott after only two minutes. Barlby hit back for 1-1 but Tommy Medd put Grey back in front when he netted.

Prolific scorer Carl Stewart then gave Marcia a 4-1 half-time lead when he hit the target twice. Barlby halved the deficit after the restart but with ten minutes left on the clock Stewart completed his hat-trick before he then took his personal tally to twelve goals in three games to put the result beyond doubt.

With the title race over in division four all eyes are on who goes up with Snaith. Second placed NUR and Drax both have a game left with only one point separating the teams. Drax ended New Earswick’s promotion hopes when they beat them 2-1. Kevin Newlove gave Drax a 1-0 half-time lead, Stuart Harrison doubled the lead in the second period before New Earswick halved the deficit.

In a hard fought game between Selby Olympia and Marcia Bishopthorpe and both sides pushing for a win. Selby Olympia having the upper hand had several chances before Chris Thompson rose at the back post to power home Dave Whiskers lofted cross to give them a half-time lead of 1-0.

Fifteen minutes into the second period Andy Porter doubled the lead when he headed in from a Connor Brewins cross. The third goal saw Brewins with a diving header from a Pawel Jankowski put the result beyond doubt before Marcia hit a late consolation.
