OUSEBURN threw down the gauntlet to Sporting Knavesmire at the top of York Minster Engineering League division three as they won their last game to move seven points clear of their rivals.
Knavesmire must now win their three games in hand to secure the title.
Ouseburn triumphed 5-4 over a determined Rufforth side, whose haul came from Graham Wray, Daniel Witcombe, Lee Bartlett and Stu Mahony.
Declan Richardson bagged a double hat-trick as Civil Service defeated Tadcaster Town 11-1.
The other Service hitmen were Joe Mason (2), Dan Craig, Chris Smith and Lloyd Crawford.
Lee Quickmire got on the scoresheet for Tad.
Bishop Wilton put eight past Crayke without reply. Tom Knowles (2), Josh Knowles, Jack Holman, Dan Croft, Sam Duffy, Craig Coxall and an own goal made up the tally.
In division four, South Milford gained a 7-1 triumph at Cawood. James Darlison scored the home side’s goal, while Charles Duffy (3), Glynn Harrison (2), Robert Speight and an own goal made up the match winning total.
Selby Town beat LNER Builders 2-0 thanks to goals from Michael Cussans and Darren Moore.
