Stamford Bridge missed the chance to close the gap on the top two sides in Reserve B' as they went down 2-1 at Bishopthorpe.
Jim Medley and Paul Broadbent put Bishops in charge while Ben Andrews reduced the deficit with a late penalty.
Amotherby drew 2-2 at Tockwith where Jason Gardiera and Steve Gay netted for the home side with George Moore and Shane Holly replying.
Two goals from Andrew Metcalfe and one from Dave Hardy gave Easingwold a 3-1 win against Malton and Norton 3-1, whose veteran Wayne Reed netted with a 30-yard volley.
