COPMANTHORPE produced a blistering display of attacking football in their York Leeper Hare Football league premier division demolition of Dunnington.

They never looked back after going two goals up inside the first five minutes and went on to win 10-3.

Phil Sheridan scored twice in each half, Graham Butcher hit his first hat-trick of the season, Tom Seatle weighed in with two and Robin Bedford took his tally for the season to ten with Cop's final goal.

Leaders Dringhouses conceded their first goal in just over five hours when they fell behind at Nestle Rowntree to a Mark Thompson header but Mark Woodward brought them level terms by half-time and further goals by Danny Gray, Carl Stewart and Woodward gave 'Houses a 4-1 win.

A goal in each half from Chris Dyson and Iain Dunn, plus an own goal, saw Huntington beat Thorpe 5-0.

Pocklington recorded their first win in ten games after beating Malton & Norton 4-1. Brent Terry gave Pock an early lead and the win was sealed with second half goals from Wayne Johnson and James Haigh (2), Andrew Thornton snatching a late consolation for Malton.

Honours were shared in the Selby derby as T & L drew 2-2 at home to Kartiers. Both sides opened their account with a penalty, James Tweedie for Kartiers and Brendan Langhan for T & L but the hosts went in front through Daz Fawcett only for Tweedie to equalise four minutes from time.

Tockwith and Heslington have both enjoyed successive promotions in the last two seasons but Tockwith have yet to register a victory at the expense of Heslington - despite leading with with three minutes remaining in their latest encounter.

Stuart Dickenson gave Heslington the lead on the stroke of half-time against Tockwith who got in front with goals from Graham Hutchinson and Russell Robshaw. Heslington threw everybody forward in the last five minutes in search of a point and subs Danny Walters (87 mins) and Simon Musgrave (90) looked to be giving Heslington all three points but another Hutchinson goal two minutes into injury time made it 3-3.

There were wins for all the top sides in Reserve B', Adam Jenkins hitting a hat-trick as leaders Wigginton beat Amotherby 6-1.

Simon Shaw, Danny Franks and Luke Roberts nabbed the other Wiggy goals.

Jonathon Gall and James Dexter both scored twice for Heworth as they defeated Tockwith 5-0, Ian Walbridge adding the fifth.

Bishopthorpe ended Easingwold's recent revival by thumping them 6-0 with goals from Jim Medley, Andrew Manns, Paul Broadbent (2), Mark Senior and player-manager Daz Miles.

Haxby extended their unbeaten run to five games after beating Poppleton 3-1 with goals from Mike Taylor, Simon Roy and Stuart Baker. Jamie Agnew hit Pop's goal.

Both Malton & Norton and Hamilton Panthers included players called Paul Alder in their side - and both scored. But Panthers also had Joynul Miah, Neil Hartley and Jon Love on the scoresheet as they won 4-1.
