SIMON REEVES netted six goals as Malton & Norton trounced a depleted Hamilton Panthers 16-1 in division one of the York Minster Engineering Football League.

Scott Preston also recorded a hat-trick, while Brandon Read (2), Jake Taylor (2), Liam Preston, Steve Twamley and Nige Allen also made the scoresheet.

F1 Racing came from behind to beat hosts Heslington 5-1.

An early goal from John Pipes put Heslington ahead but two quickfire goals from Chris Dempsey put F1 in front before the half-time whistle.

F1 controlled the second half and an own goal along with strikes from Adam Tiffany and Jericho Keys gave them a comfortable 5-1 victory.

St Clement's gained a 3-2 victory over Pocklington Town thanks to Chris Elliker’s winner and, despite goals from Marcus Godsell and Mikey Brown, Brooklyn slumped to a 5-2 loss at York St John University.

In the only division three game to survive the weather, Joe Broughton and Joe Dent gave draw specialists Huby United a 2-1 lead at home to high flying Civil Service.

In-form striker Carl Shepherd notched his second of the game in the closing period to gain his side a point.

A solitary game in division four saw Huntington WMC emerge as 1-0 winners against Melbourne.

In reserve 'B', Thorpe United defeated Malton & Norton 2-0 to retain second place, three points behind leaders Church Fenton White Horse.

Harrison Signs leapfrogged opponents Bishopthorpe into third as goals from Jack Pottage (2) and Adam Humphries gave them a 3-2 win over their rivals.

Callum Hatton scored twice in the first half for Pocklington to give them a 2-0 lead over Heslington. Tyrell Berry added a third in the second period.

Jamie Husband (2) and Adam Lewis bagged for Fulford as they beat Stamford Bridge 3-1. Sam Wood hit Stamford's consolation.

An own goal and a Kirk Newton penalty gave Brooklyn a 2-0 triumph at home to Poppleton.

Hamilton Panthers continue to lead reserve 'C' after a Jake Sanderson hat-trick inspired them to a 5-2 success against Wilberfoss.

Lloyd Crawford and Josh Smith grabbed Panthers' other goals, with Adam Robertson and an own goal making up the Foss tally.

Civil Service are in second place. Joe Evans (2) and Mark Lund gave them a 3-1 half-time lead away at Selby RSSC before Matty Williams sealed victory, scoring their fourth in the second period.

Mark Foster bagged a brace for F1 Racing but, despite a third goal from Ben Orange, they could not withstand Rufforth's challenge as they eventually went down 5-3.

Lee Jefferson netted three times, with Nick Horne and Joe Bootland also making the scoresheet for the visitors.

Nigel Horner and Tom Ellwood sent Cliffe in 2-0 ahead at the break at Selby Olympia, and it was more of the same in the second half as Horner and Shaun Gallagher found the net to give Cliffe a 4-0 win.

 

• THE York Minster Engineering League will take on the Yorkshire Amateur League in an inter-league representative game at Pocklington tomorrow.

The York team, managed by league secretary Matty Ward, will host their Yorkshire Amateur counterparts at The Balk, with kick off at 7.30pm.

Ward’s squad includes four players from Huntington Rovers and three from reigning premier division champions Old Malton St Mary’s.
