WILLS Bar posted a notable farewell to the York Sunday Afternoon League first division even in defeat.
Wills, already certain of finishing in the bottom two, were beaten 6-2 by visitors Bubwith White Swan in their last game of the season, but had Daniel Foxton nabbing his first goal of the campaign just as it ended, while team-mate Alan Goforth bagged his second strike in as many games after going four years without a goal.
The Bubwith marksmen were Gregory Nesbitt (2), Matthew Rhodes (2), Tim Fennel and Paul Musson as they strengthened their grip on runners-up spot.
Kings Head boosted their title hopes in division two with double success.
They enjoyed a 1-0 win over Clifton Rangers, Stuart Ellis getting the all-important goal in the first half and then, in a midweek encounter, two goals from Richard Cass cancelled out an opener from Drum's Les Ford to seal a maximum haul for Kings Head and send them four points clear at the top.
Half Moon and AFC Huntington shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Stuart Dickenson scored for Half Moon as they ended their season and Miguel Ponte replied.
