SELBY Town's hopes of a top four finish in the Northern Counties East premier division ended when they went down to a 3-1 defeat to Thackley at Flaxley Road.
The game sparked into life after 51 minutes when Matt Mathers put Thackley in front.
The Robins were level two minutes later when a Joe Connor free-kick was flicked on at the near post by Steve Davey and Andrew Dawson headed in at the far post.
The Bradford side worked hard and they went back in front in the 70th minute with a well-taken goal from Dean Walters. Selby pushed forward for an equaliser and Graham Whitehead had a shot well saved but Nicky Matthews grabbed a third goal on the break for the visitors in the 83rd minute.
Selby play their final league match on Wednesday at Flaxley Road when Glapwell are the visitors (kick-off 7.45pm).
Two goals from Liam Salt and a strike from Steve Baxter saw Pickering Town win 3-0 at Glasshoughton. The Pikes entertain Retford tomorrow night (7.45pm).
Tadcaster Albion finished their season in division one with a 3-1 home victory over Gedling Town.
The visitors took the lead through Matt Timson, but Tad were level two minutes later with a close-range effort from Danny Pitts. Youngsters Nick Lawrie and Liam Johnson went on to complete Albion's victory.
Adam Jones secured a 1-0 home win for Harrogate Railway over Woodley Sports in their final Unibond League division one game of the season. Woodley had skipper Chris Curley sent off for alleged use of an elbow.
* York City reserves end their season tomorrow night when they entertain Sheffield United B' at KitKat Crescent.
