SELDOM can there have been a dramatic - and decisive start - to the York FA Sunday Morning Junior Cup Final.
Within minutes of the kick-off between Selby Griffin and Bay Horse Tadcaster, a cross from the right was misjudged by the Bay Horse goalkeeper enabling Griffin captain James Tweedie the simplest of nod-ins at the far post.
From then on there were chances at both ends.
A long-range drive shot from Griffin's Matt Culkin just went over the crossbar while team-mate Luke Crowther hit the frame with a shot.
In the second half Carl Blundell and Tweedie went close for Griffin while for Bay Horse, Mark Pitts hit the bar from the right wing with Griffin 'keeper Steve Whitehead stranded.
However, defences held sway with Danny Pitts (Bay Horse) and Andrew Woodall (Griffin) outstanding.
Chris Dale of the York FA presented the trophies.
