RYEDALE SC won the Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy for the first time after a nerve-jangling penalty shoot-out against Kirkbymoorside Reserves.

The game - at Pickering Town's Recreation Ground - was a 0-0 stalemate after extra time and it was Ryedale who proved sharper from the spot than the Beckett League champions.

Marc Dobson, Heath Brown, Adam Hornby, David Hoyle and Richard Holtby netted for Ryedale while Alex Strickland, Nicky Thurlow, Sean Walker and Shaun Cox replied before Daman Cox shot wide.

Kirkbymoorside bounced back to win the Ryedale Hospital Cup again after extra time.

Holders Union Rovers, hunting their third straight Hospital Cup win, fell behind to a Thurlow goal.

Rovers levelled with an 18-yard strike by Paul Holder prompting extra time, where goals by Strickland and Ryan Rivis - his 23rd of the season - sealed the Moors' 3-1 win.

Extra time settled the Marisa Sports Trophy tie between Kirkdale United and Thornton Dale.

Tom Ellis gave Kirkdale the lead, Dale equalised through Paul Grayson but a Martin Charlton penalty and a Mark Langdale header took United into the quarter-finals.

Crayke cruised to the Panasonic League Division Two Cup, thrashing Old Malton 3rds 6-1.

In the term's last Beckett League division one game, Heslerton beat Rosedale 3-1. Chris Bell (2) and Curtis Drummond scored.
