RAIN once again decimated the York Minster Engineering League programme, with almost half of the fixtures being postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
The downpours weren't enough to stop Dunnington's title charge, however, as a double strike from Martin Day allowed the Common Road side to beat Riccall United 2-0 and forge three points clear of rivals Huntington Rovers, who they face in less than a month's time.
Old Malton St Mary's also have every chance of the crown, and effectively hold their fate in their own hands, lying 11 points adrift of Dunnington with four games in hand.
They kept tabs on the leaders with a 5-1 win over Brooklyn, for whom Danny Foxton was on target.
Osbaldwick took the lead at Harrison Signs through Connor Brannigan but the home side equalised with five minutes to go.
The draw means that Signs remain three points behind Osbaldwick and continue to occupy the second relegation place, with only Brooklyn below them.
Will Edmond got off to a dream start on his first-team debut for Poppleton United, bringing down a long ball from his goalkeeper with a deft touch before hitting a precision volley past the Pocklington Town stopper in just the fourth minute.
The score remained the same until the 68th minute, when a neat move ended with Division One leaders Pocklington drawing level.
Neither side were able to make any further inroads though as they both picked up a fair point.
Malton and Norton's 4-4 draw with Tockwith meant that the top three remained unchanged.
Simon Reeves hit a hat-trick for the Ryedale side, with Jake Taylor completing their scoring.
Tockwith fought back from 4-2 down late in the game to collect a point.
Hemingbrough took advantage of the chance to close the gap on the trio above them by defeating Easingwold Town 6-0.
Cliffe striker Chris Jackson continued his good run of form against Heslington, completing his perfect hat-trick with an unstoppable 18-yard strike en route to giving new manager Malcolm Bryce his first win of the campaign.
David Lees, Tom Hogg and Kevin Taylor also found the net as Cliffe inflicted a 6-3 defeat on their opponents, Gaz Fisher and Danny Cates (2) replying for the home side.
York St John gained a 3-2 success over Rawcliffe.
