Rain played havoc with the York Sunday Afternoon Football League programme with just a brace of matches surviving the deluge.
Bubwith White Swan took to the conditions likea swan to water to pip their Winning Post hosts 3-1 in the first division. Peter Taylor (2) and Tom Robinson scored for the victors, Dean Smith replying.
In division two, the Harrogate Town CFC v Clifton Rangers clash was switched to Poppleton as both teams' pitches were waterlogged.
It made little matter to Clifton who came out on top 2-1 with Tom Adie and Scott Donkin the marksmen. Harrogate's lone goal was notched by Farayi Quzha.
