PICKERING Town's epic FA Vase journey resumes tomorrow when the Pikes make the trip to Surrey for their rearranged fourth round clash with Merstham.
Last Saturday's scheduled meeting between the sides fell victim to the weather, but Town head south tomorrow in upbeat mood, looking to capitalise on their second chance in the competition.
The Pikes were beaten by Winterton Rangers in the last round, but were reinstated after Rangers were found to have fielded an ineligible player.
Chairman Tony Dunning said: "We want to make the most of this and see if we can progress into another round. The money is getting better now, but we also want to raise the profile of the club. It's nice to be involved in the latter stages and we are very keen on doing well in the Vase."
Town manager Mark Wood will be without Chris Batchelor, who has a hernia problem, and George Rose, who is suspended.
Dunning said: "We have a couple missing, but that's about it. Everybody else is ready to go."
The winner of tomorrow's tie will be at home to Poole Town or Consett in the next round.
With Pickering on Vase duty, Selby Town have the chance to draw level with their North Yorkshire rivals in the Northern Counties East League premier division.
Selby travel to Liversedge, looking to extend an unbeaten run that stretches back to before Christmas.
Assistant manager Gary Cygan said last week's 3-3 draw with Lincoln Moorlands Railway had brought out the best and the worst in the Robins.
"We need to make sure we perform for 90 minutes," he said. "We have got the ability and the players to do it. We just need to make sure we compete for 90 minutes.
"We have not been losing, but we cannot really afford to drop any more points."
Adam Russell returns for Selby from suspension, while Kieran O'Brien is also available again.
In NCEL division one, Tadcaster Albion travel to Staveley Miners Welfare, looking to build on their recent good form.
Albion have seven points from their last three games, and manager Jimmy Reid said: "The last three games have been the best we have played since I have been here. We have pulled our fingers out and pulled out the stops and done well.
"We have nine home games left and five away games, and we just need to try to win tomorrow and take each game as it comes."
Albion have beaten Welfare 3-1 on both of their previous encounters this season, and Reid said: "They will be looking for revenge."
Elsewhere, Harrogate Town are at home to Burscough in Blue Square North, while Harrogate Railway travel to Chorley in UniBond division one north.
On Sunday, Scarborough Athletic are at home to AFC Emley in NCEL division one.
