LEADERS Haxby United extended their unbeaten run to 15 games as they completed the double over their neighbours Wigginton in the Leeper Hare York Football League premier division.
Andy Green opened the scoring after three minutes and Haxby doubled their lead seven minutes later as Dave Hartas headed home a Dave Newton cross.
Wigginton rallied and were back on level terms before the break with goals from James Vine and Danny Franks.
Newton then restored Haxby's lead with his 17th league goal of the season.
The win was confirmed 15 minutes from the end when Neale Holmes headed home.
Defending champions Huntington Rovers remain in second place in the table after they defeated third-placed Tockwith 2-0 at home.
After a tight first half, Gary Newton threaded the ball into the path of Chris Dyson, who put Huntington in front.
Super sub Jordan McGuighan came off the bench to head Huntington's second goal.
Kartiers were beaten 1-0 at home by local rivals Thorpe, with Adam Garner crossing for Shane Singleton to score.
