KEVIN Butler served up a hat-trick as leaders Clifton beat College of Law 8-3 in division one of the York & District Sunday Afternoon Football League.
Mark Cairns scored twice and Craig Coombs, Scott Stewart and Daniel Thompson also found the net for Clifton, while Paul Hunter, Alex Irvine and Jamie Wright scored for the College of Law side.
Nine-man Copmanthorpe were hammered 16-0 by York St John University, whose tally included four for Graham Bell and a hat-trick for Kyle Audsley.
Neil Fryirs and Michael Maxim got two each and Alex Brisley, Daniel Barry, Stephen Danby and Daniel Seal were also on target.
Meanwhile, Yearsley Grove shot to the top of division two with a 3-0 win over AFC Huntington thanks to goals from John Kennelly and Stuart Dickinson plus an own goal.
The game between Harrogate Town CFC and FTR Burnholme was postponed because of waterlogged pitch.
