Severus went six points clear at the top of division one in the York F1 Racing Premier Karting Sunday Morning League with a 4-0 win at Nestlé Flag.
Severus took control of the game with two goals from leading marksman Mark Woodward, who completed his hat-trick in the second half. Lee Atkinson adding a fourth.
Nearest rivals Hounds were not in action and they now have three games in hand.
Lowly Shipton stung hosts Thorpe as they led 1-0 at half-time with a goal from Stuart O'Bee.
Thorpe full-back Ryan Watson earned his side a share of the points.
Goals from Simon Collins and Dave Bradshaw helped Derwent United see off Wigginton Grasshoppers 2-0.
Division two leaders Skelton gained a hard-fought victory at Haxby Lions, winning 4-2 with goals from Neale Holmes, Mark Pipe, James Barrett and Dave Pickles. Iain Ferguson netted twice for Haxby.
Wanderers maintained their unbeaten record with a 6-2 win at York Nomads.
Wanderers were 2-1 down at the break after goals from Nomads Nick Rank and James Wilmoty, with Dave Newton replying.
But goals from Glenn Allen, Dale Phillips, Tom Close, Terry Taylor and Paul Beddingham sealed it.
Hambleton beat Cueball 4-2 with goals from Matty Dunne, Neil Coleman and Ian Huddlestone (2). Cueball replied with strikes from Nigel Lyle and Glen Howells.
Selby Griffin thrashed Bishopthorpe 5-0, while goals from Stuart Lawson and Charlie Bond saw Pocklinton Town beat Britannia Tadcaster 2-0. Copmanthorpe lost 4-2 at Acomb Celtic.
Division three leaders Albion Vaults increased their advantage with a 4-1 victory over F1 Racing ,with goals from James Holroyd, Adam Durning, Lee Ward and Dave Hullah.
Second-placed Enterprise dropped points as they were held 1-1 at Selby Station. Steve Shooter scored for Station and Phil Hartley for the visitors.
Acomb Rangers and White Horse drew 2-2. Steve Martin and Assan Sambay netted for Rangers but White Horse replied through an own goal and a strike by Chris Swales.
Gypsy Moth are still top of division four after beating Askham Bar 5-1.
