Nestle Flag – yet to drop a point after six games – increased their lead at the top of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Morning Football League first division with a 3-0 win over visitors Severus.

After a goal-less first half, Chris Johnson struck Flag’s first goal. Pete Laidlaw then made it 2-0 with a penalty before Ash Hill hit the third.

Hounds FC continue to stalk the leaders after brushing aside Skelton 5-1.

On target for Hounds were Jeremy James with a brace, plus Alan Jackson, Wesley Pears and Michael Barnett. Skelton’s consolation came from Gary Smith.

Selby Olympia hammered derby rivals Cliffe 11-2 with hat-tricks from Rob Friar and Matty Howden plus a brace from Chris Coxon. Other scorers were Chris Thompson, George Wojcik and Leon Wood.

The division two top of the table clash between unbeaten sides Acomb Celtic and Haxby Lions saw Celtic prevail 7-2.

Third place Cueball beat Wiggington Grasshoppers 5-3 with Rob Collier, Dave Chapman, Amos Laverack, Jon Sargent and Andy Thompson on target. Tom Coates replied with a hat-trick.

In division three, Britannia Tadcaster saw off the challenge of Gypsy Moth 7-1 to take their goal tally to 15 in two games.

Ross Bardy (3), substitute Toby Strangeway (2), John Sebine and Dave Malkinson shared the haul.

Unbeaten Station FC showed why they are promotion favourites after demolishing Bishopthorpe 13-3.

Top scorer was Gary Collier with five, while Steve Lyon hit a hat-trick, Pete Minto and Wayne Brooke added two each and Ian Beckram completed the rout. For the Villagers Andy Manns bagged a hat-trick.

Acomb WMC still top division four North after two first-half goals from Anthony Evans were enough to beat visitors Dinamo Megahorse.

Leeman United are only six points behind the leaders with two games in hand after winning 1-0 at Selby RSSC.

In division four south, unbeaten front-runners Dunnington rapped FC Barlby 5-0 with Mike Noble (2), Grant Bulmer, Rob Hart and John Wormald scoring.

Danen Shutt hit four goals, James Ashton (2) and Lucas Owen one in Fox FC’s 7-2 drubbing of Acomb Albion.
