A CLEAN sweep is still on for Old Malton St Mary’s after they chalked up a 13th straight win in York Minster Engineering League reserve ‘A’.

Sam Thackray and Scott Preston shared the goals in a 4-2 home win over Hamilton Panthers and Saints now need only four wins from their last nine games to take the title.

Tom Lingard and Adam Fishwick replied for Panthers.

Haxby United came from 3-1 down at Kartiers to win 5-3. The Selby goals came from Tom Littlewood, Jack Healy and Dave Hawe, with Haxby replying through Chris Rigby (2), Stewart Baker, Richard Sellars and Jamie Bolton.

Dunnington, with goals from Simon Castle, Chris Moore, Andy Rose and John Gilham, beat Huntington 4-0.

Dringhouses beat Wilberfoss 4-1 with goals from Tom Adie, Tom Wilson and Alex Dale, plus an own goal. Nick Daniels hit the reply.

Reserve ‘B’ leaders Aviva won 2-0 at Pocklington with goals from Mark Benson and Rob Evans.

Thorpe remain in contention after a 6-0 home win over York RI. Lee Carter (3), Matty Emmett (2) and Phil Fowler netted.

Four goals from Poppleton’s Nick Hindle sealed a 5-1 win over Heworth.

Stamford Bridge won 4-2 at home to Tockwith with Tony Dowling and Darrel Carter sharing the goals.

Church Fenton White Horse opened up a four-point lead at the top of reserve ‘C’ after a 4-3 home win over St Clement’s.

Amotherby collected maximum points from their double fixture with Bishop Wilton, winning 5-3 and 5-1.

York St John and Copmanthorpe will meet in the final of the Reserve Cup. Copmanthorpe beat Riccall 5-3 with Andrew Manns bagging four goals, while St John beat Malton & Norton 5-2.
