PICKERING Town’s 0-0 draw at Maltby Main in midweek dropped them out of manager Mark Wood’s stated sixth position finish in Northern Counties East League premier division, writes Steve Carroll.
The Pikes must now contemplate the visit of title-chasing Armthorpe Welfare with Wood warning it will be a difficult game against an in-form side.
Lyle Hillier returned to the bench for the 1-0 defeat to Hall Road Rangers last weekend, a defeat which brought to an end a long unbeaten run, and he is likely to feature at some point.
Selby Town have revenge on their minds when Hall Road Rangers come to Flaxley Road. The visitors inflicted a 5-0 defeat on the Robins in the middle of last month.
Town managed a 3-3 draw at Hallam last time out but have still won just once in their last eight games.
Harrogate Town will be hoping to get the job done this time against Southport at the CNG Stadium in Blue Square North.
Manager Simon Weaver labelled his defence a “soft touch” after they had victory snatched from them at Ilkeston Town.
That 3-3 draw gives them some cause for hope but they will need to be tighter to get anything from second-placed Southport.
Harrogate Railway are due to entertain Ossett Albion this afternoon in UniBond League division one North and have a trip to Garforth Town on Easter Monday.
