PICKERING Town will honour late chairman Tony Dunning at a pre-season friendly against Whitby Town at Mill Lane on Tuesday, August 3 (7.30pm).

The game has been arranged to commemorate the official renaming of the main stand as the Tony Dunning Stand. Dunning, who died last October at the age of 65, was Pikes chairman for almost 20 years and ran his own butcher’s shop in the town for 25 years.

The club’s Northern Counties East League premier division campaign will start on Saturday, August 7.

The NCEL annual general meeting will be held in Scarborough on Saturday, June 12, and the make-up of the competition is expected to be finalised.
