A SELECT XI will take on the 1st Battalion Yorkshire Regiment in a charity football match at Tadcaster Albion’s Ings Lane ground on July 31.
The match will be in aid of Help For Heroes and will be the centrepiece of a family fun day.
As well as the football – which could feature cameo appearances from former Scotland internationals Gary McAllister and Gordon Strachan – other attractions include a bouncy castle, face painting, crossbar challenge, hog roast, barbecue, fire engine and a climbing wall.
There will be a raffle with prizes including Joe Calzaghe-signed glove, two tickets to the World Touring Car Championship plus pit passes, and tickets to see York City, Barnsley and Leeds Rhinos.
