FORMER Selby Town and Pickering Town player Matthew Wain is the new manager of York Minster Engineering League premier division side Dunnington.
Wain, who has enjoyed a successful playing career in non-League and local football, takes over from Simon Wood as first team boss.
Wain said: “I’m excited about the position and I’m looking to take Dunnington to the next level.
“Dunnington have never won the York League’s top division and hopefully with hard work and a few additions to an already very good team we can be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.”
The club have already started pre-season training at the sports club on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6.45pm to 8.45pm.
