An Ian Beckram brace helped Cliffe FC Club to a 4-4 draw as they hosted Collingham in the first pre-season fixture, writes Jamie Crane.
Beckram opened the scoring for the hosts after a superb winding run, before Tom Hogg doubled Cliffe’s lead. Beckram then scored his second for a 3-0 half-time lead.
Cliffe made multiple changes to their line-up, which brought Collingham back into the game with two goals.
But Christopher Jackson restored daylight between the teams as he scored Cliffe’s fourth.
It appeared Cliffe would then run away with victory, but two quick Collingham goals brought the scores level.
Next Saturday Cliffe kick-off the Selby Cup against Hensall Athletic.
