For the third successive week, the whole of the newitts.com Beckett Football League and Cup programme had all games postponed owing to the wintry weather gripping Ryedale and North Yorkshire.
The thaw came two or three days too late to save any of the games last Saturday. One or two clubs contemplated moving some snow to get their pitch playable, but in the end there was too much snow.
This coming Saturday the League will attempt to get some games played before the two-week Christmas/New Year shut down.
The League have already circulated fixtures for Saturday, January 8 but depending what happens this week they may well have to be altered because of the North Riding CFA cup game involving Kirkbymoorside Reserves.
