Pickering Town will be hoping the weather won’t get in the way of their longest league trip of the season.
Last Saturday’s home match with Long Eaton United was postponed because of the weather and they take the return trip to Nottingham in the knowledge further sub-zero temperatures are predicted.
With the game called off last week, manager Mitch Cook led a training session for his players on Scarborough beach and they were joined by former Scarborough Town central defender Matt Perry.
Perry has been coaching in the United States but is back for the rest of the season and is expected to sign for Pickering in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Pikes will take on York City in the quarter-final of the North Riding Senior Cup. That tie will be played in the New Year.
Elsewhere, Selby Town entertain Bridlington at Flaxley Road in NCEL premier while Harrogate Town, dumped out of the West Riding Cup by Goole in midweek, look to get back to winning ways at Hinckley United in Blue Square Bet North.
Harrogate Railway go to Prescot Cables in Evo-Stik League division one north.
