Dunnington justified their favourites tag in the York Minster Engineering Football League Senior League Cup after demolishing Huntington Rovers 7-1 in the semi-final.
Two first-half goals from Josh Tattersall put Dunnington well in control and after the interval they strteched the lead through Grant Bulmer, Rob Hart, Mick Duckworth and Scott Sullivan (2) before Huntington snatched a late Neil Wilford consolation.
Next Wedensday, They wil play Wigginton Grasshoppers in a repeat of the 2009 final after winning 4-1 at Riccall.
The visitors fell behind to a Louis Blackwell strike but levelled just before half-time through Ben Coates.
Shortly into the second half Tom Coates put Wigginton in front and ten minutes later when Ben was brought down, brother Tom converted the penalty. A rasping volley from Terry Taylor sealed the triumph.
Heslington suffered the heartache of losing a second successive Junior League Cup semi-final on penalties as they lost out to F1 Racing in a tense shoot-out.
Heslington started well when Martin Pepper gave them the lead but that was cancelled out by a Neil Yeowart goal before the break.
Stuart Dickenson restored Heslington’s advantage only for George Trifan to level, but when Gareth Fisher scored with a superb free-kick just three minutes from time for Heslington they were pegged back again through a 90th-minute Stu McGarva strike.
F1 Racing won 4-3 on penalties and will now meet Strensall in the Final after the latter defeated Church Fenton White Horse 1-0, courtesy of an own goal.
