Cliffe FC’s presentation evening at the Fox and Pheasant, Hemingbrough, was dominated by their crowning as the York Minster Engineering Football League division three and reserve ‘D’ champions.
Award-winners were: 1st XI: player of the year – Andy Addison; players’ player of the year – Scott Birch; top scorer – Chris Jackson (19 goals); young player of the year – Chris Jackson; goal of the season – Ian Beckram (v Fulford United); clubman of the year – Malcolm Bryce; reserves: player of the year – Ally Harris; players’ player of the year – Mark Bennett; top scorer – Nathan Parker (12 goals).
