CARETAKER boss Alex Strickland is expected to be confirmed as the new permanent player/manager of Kirkbymoorside Football Club.
Strickland took over the reins at the Wearside League outfit midway through the season and his appointment should be rubber-stamped at the club’s annual general meeting at the Recreation Club, in Kirbymills Road, on Monday, at 7.30pm.
The Moorsiders’ reserves were crowned champions of the newitts.com Beckett League and won the Scarborough & District FA Junior Cup.
The second string are looking for a new manager as Paul Richardson has decided to retire after the double-winning campaign.
A new boss could be installed at the AGM.
