A brace of goals from Huntington’s Gary Newton saw his side lift the Tony Robinson Memorial Trophy at Rowntree’s Mille Crux ground.
Both Huntington and Poppleton had won their opening games in the tournament to leave them one win away from the trophy and it was Huntington who prevailed, winning 3-1.
It was Poppleton who struck first however, their centre forward lobbing the goalkeeper to make it. Four minutes later it was 1-1 and it remained that way until Newton popped up to score two in the last ten minutes to push his side over the line.
The Rowntree chairman presented the Tony Robinson Memorial Trophy to the Huntington captain at the end of the match.
