Rufforth suffered a set-back at Civil Service and F1 Racing took advantage with a good win at Elvington to move into second place in division three.
Civil Service managed their first win of the season by the odd goal in five against visitors Rufforth.
They went two up through Michael Quinn and James Windle but Rufforth halved the lead by half-time.
Rufforth levelled after the break but Windle scored again to take the points.
George Triffan included a contender for goal of the season in his hat trick at Elvington with Neil Yeowart adding a fourth. Neil Alexander replied.
Jon Wileman bagged four goals as Selby Olympia hit seven at Wheldrake without reply. Dale Ranby (2) and Mathew Copper also scored.
