A SECOND half hat-trick from Adam Russell propelled Selby Town to within a point of the leaders in the Northern Counties East League premier division.
Russell netted in the 49th, 50th and 70th minutes as the Robins beat hosts Maltby Main 4-2 last night.
Graham Whitehead had given the visitors a 40th minute lead, before Main hit back with two goals from Tommy Fletcher in the first two minutes of the second half.
But Russell's goals kept Town in the promotion frame ahead of Saturday's trip to Armthorpe.
