SELBY Town kicked off pre-season with a 2-2 draw against Grimsby-based DMS at Flaxley Road.

The visitors took the lead on 15 minutes but the Robins, led by new boss Phil Jones for the first time, hit back with a 25-yard leveller from Danny Moore on 20 minutes.

Chris Jackson fired the Northern Counties East League division one hosts in front on 40 minutes, but DMS made it 2-2 with 15 minutes remaining.

Jones and assistant Nigel Emery will get another look at their squad when they host Pickering Town on Saturday (3pm).

A Grimsby Town XI are the visitors to Flaxley Road on Saturday, July 14 (3pm), before the Robins host Brodsworth on Wednesday, July 18 (7.45pm).

The club’s remaining four friendlies are also at home, against Doosan on Saturday, July 21 (3pm), Ripon City on Wednesday, July 25 (7.45pm), Goole Town on Saturday, July 28 (3pm) and Bradford Park Avenue on Tuesday, July 31 (7.45pm).
