WETHERBY has once again been named the north’s best small racecourse.
The gong, awarded by The Racegoers Club, was given to the West Yorkshire track for the tenth time since the turn of the century.
Jonjo Sanderson, Wetherby’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted to once again receive the prestigious award of the Best Small Racecourse of the Year for the North from The Racegoers Club.
“We take great pride in this award because, principally, it is voted for by regular visitors to Wetherby, who clearly enjoy what we have on offer.”
Added Sanderson, above: “I know that our colleague at racecourses in the north all try very hard each year to win this award, so everyone here at Wetherby is absolutely delighted to receive this accolade again, which is a great return for the effort they all put in.”
