North Yorkshire trainer Micky Hammond, on the mark at Catterick yesterday with Alderbook Lad, can click again at Sedgefield today with Kathlatino, who carries the nap vote.

The seven-year-old finished a good third at Wetherby’s Christmas meeting and that form received a boost yesterday when runner-up Getabuzz won well at Catterick.

Joe Colliver, good value for his 5lb claim, gets the leg up on Kathlatino in the Furlongs Racing Novices’ Handicap Hurdle and a bold bid is expected from the Middleham raider.

Hammond’s neighbour Phil Kirby can also figure on the Sedgefield scoreboard.

Kirby saddles Moscow Presents in the Horse Racing Free Bets At bookmakers.co.uk Handicap Hurdle and the recent Haydock winner is fancied to oblige again off a 7lb higher mark.

Moscow Presents was rediscovering his form at Haydock and, now that he has got his head in front again, he needs following. Adam Nicol again has the mount.

Pamak D’airy should go well in the Compare Bookmakers Odds At bookmakers.co.uk Handicap Chase.

Harry Hogarth’s gelding has finished in the frame in all his three starts this season, twice at Hexham and once on this course.

He is overdue a winning turn and may find opportunity knocking here under the accomplished Tony Kelly.

Also worth noting are Baltic Pathfinder (1.15) from the in-form Sue Smith yard and Donald McCain’s promising Master Dee (3.45) in the bumper.

On the Flat at Wolverhampton, Tim Easterby’s Mappin Time is fancied to gain his second win in just over three weeks.

The sprinter came good at Southwell last time with Adam Carter in the saddle and the 5lb claimer takes the mount again in the Compare Bookmakers At Bookmakers.co.uk Handicap over six furlongs.

Lexi’s Hero, runner-up to Mappin Time, may again be his main danger after finishing a good runner-up again since.

Richard Fahey, trainer of Lexi’s Hero, can clinch the claimer with Kiama Bay, the mount of George Chaloner.

Far from disgraced in a hot handicap at Lingfield last weekend, the Malton gelding will appreciate this drop in class, especially as it comes on a course where he has been successful in the past.

Derek Shaw has his horses in excellent heart and the Nottinghamshire trainer can win the opening sprint with Borough Boy (4.00), the mount of Dale Swift.

A Southwell winner on his penultimate start, Borough Boy finished a respectable third on the same course last Sunday.

He is running very well at present and is a previous winner at this venue.
