JOHN QUINN, whose Aurore d'Estruval finished a gallant second to Irving in Saturday's Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle, turns his attention back to the Flat at Wolverhampton today and can figure among the winners.

The Norton trainer, thrilled with Aurore d'Estruval's runner-up effort behind Irving, saddles Hidden Justice in the 32Red Handicap over two miles on the Tapeta circuit.

The five-year-old has been lightly-raced this season, but, after finishing a good second at York in September, he ran another solid race to clinch third place at Nottingham on his latest start.

Hidden Justice has one all-weather win to his credit from just two previous outings on an artificial surface. He is napped to add to that tally today with Phil Makin in the saddle.

Great Habton trainer Tim Easterby can also get on the scoresheet at Dunstall Park with Penny Garcia in the 32Red.com Fillies' Handicap.

Four times a winner on turf, Penny Garcia gained her most recent success at Catterick last month. She is largely unexposed on a synthetic surface, but in the hope that she can cope with the switch, she has every chance of providing Duran Fentiman with a winning ride.

Pyrocumulus may be the best option in the 32RedPoker.com Nursery Handicap.

The two-year-old came good at Southwell last time when winning on his first start for Alan McCabe. Ben Curtis, in the saddle that day, takes the mount again on the juvenile, who may have more to offer.

Give Us A Belle gave this column a boost when winning at Wolverhampton last week, after being burdened with the nap vote.

Christine Dunnett's sprinter turns out again under a penalty in the £20 Risk-Free Bet At Unibet Handicap. Booked for the mount is Luke Morris, who rode three winners at this course on Saturday night.

Others to note on the card include Les Eyre's Quibtee (12.55), a decent second at Lingfield 12 days ago, and Celestine Abbey (1.55), a winner here last week who aims to defy a 6lb penalty for trainer John Ryan and jockey Jack Mitchell.

At Plumpton, Civil War gets the vote in the opening Grey Douglas Novices' Hurdle for trainer Gary Moore and his jockey-son Jamie.

The five-year-old has not run over hurdles since finishing fourth here in May, but a recent run on the Flat at Nottingham should have teed him up nicely for this return to action. He has the form to take this prize over two miles.

Chris Pea Green, a stablemate of Civil War, is overdue a winning turn after finishing second in his three starts this season.

The five-year-old occupied the runner-up spot at Sandown and Huntingdon on his last couple of starts. He would need to improve much on those efforts to go one better here and complete a double for the Moore team.

Also worth noting at Plumpton are the consistent Alright Benny (2.10) and Corner Creek (3.40), a valuable purchase after winning his sole start in a point-to-point and a good second to Bronco Billy in a bumper at Carlisle three weeks ago.
