THE insatiable Tony McCoy, who rode two winners at Sandown on Saturday and who was in action yesterday at Cork in Ireland, is Scotland-bound today and can keep his loyal legion of supporters happy.

The legendary jockey, pushing himself as hard at 40 years of age as he was a decade ago, teams up with John Ferguson to partner Arabic History in the William Hill - Bet on The Move Maiden Hurdle at Musselburgh and his mount looks sure to start at cramped odds.

Arabic History has proved himself a useful horse in bumpers, winning two of his four starts and finishing second in the other two, most recently when just outpointed by the well-regarded Definitely Red at Cheltenham.

It looks significant that Ferguson, who is based in Newmarket, has chosen this race for Arabic History's first outing over hurdles. The trainer won the corresponding race 12 months ago with Population, also a smart recruit from the bumper sphere. McCoy's journey to Musselburgh should not be wasted on the latest Ferguson raider.

McCoy has also been snapped up by Norton trainer Brian Ellison to ride Lucky Cody in the William Hill - In The App Store Handicap Hurdle. But the five-year-old returning to hurdles after one outing over fences, does not have the most convincing of profiles to win a handicap off a mark of 125.

Preference is for Spitz, who shaped well to finish second at Sedgefield last month on his first outing since May. Assuming that race has brought him on, which is likely, Rose Dobbin's gelding has every chance of going one better this time on a course where he has scored in the past. Wilson Renwick has the mount.

Dobbin can also claim the William Hill - The Home Of Betting Handicap Chase over three miles with Shady Sadie, the mount of Harry Challoner.

The seven-year-old beat Foot The Bill by three lengths over this course and distance last month. A 7lb rise for that success does not look excessive.

Dobbin's Sedgefield debut winner Professor Plum is worthy of respect in the William Hill - Exclusive Mobile Offers National Hunt Flat Race, but the vote goes to Malcolm Jefferson's Double W's, a good winner at Ayr last season and a horse with a bright future.

At Kempton's Flat meeting, Luca Cumani is fancied to record a double. The Newmarket trainer has good prospects with Fiesole and Past Forgetting.

Fiesole, a son of Montjeu, looked green but shaped with promise on his debut at Wolverhampton last month. That experience should stand him in good stead this time and he may have gained enough improvement to open his winning account at his second attempt in the Book Now For Boxing Day Maiden Stakes.

Past Forgetting, who runs in the BetVictor.com Handicap, is still seeking her first success after six outings.

She has, however, been knocking on the door and her latest effort here, when a half-length second to Archie's Advice, look sound enough credentials to give her a strong chance to land the nap in this event.

Luke Morris, rider of Past Forgetting, can also score on Invincible Ridge in the Download The BetVictor App Now Handicap (division two).

Trained by Eric Alston, the six-year-old has been running well since coming over from Ireland in the summer.

He has won two of his last three outings, all at Wolverhampton, and provided he handles this Polytrack surface as well he copes with Tapeta, he should be firmly in the mix.

Also worth noting are handicap debutante Ifittakesforever (3.10) and the consistent Delagoa Bay (3.40), who is a previous course and distance winner.
