HAMBLETON trainer Kevin Ryan has good prospects of completing a notable across the card double tomorrow with Advanced at Thirsk and My Paris at Newbury.

Advanced heads to Ryan's local course for the £12,000 Michael Foster Memorial Stakes, while My Paris goes to Berkshire to contest the £40,000 Blloor Homes Spring Cup.

Advanced is awarded the nap vote. A high-class juvenile when trained by Richard Hannon, he shaped really well for Ryan last autumn, finishing a close-up third in the Ayr Gold Cup before going down narrowly in a Group race in France.

A lucrative season looks on the cards.

My Paris underlined his well-being earlier this month when finishing fifth in the Lincoln Handicap at Newcastle. He has every chance of raising his game enough to run a big race in Newbury's featured handicap, though Sir Michael Stoute's Heaven Sent threatens to be a big danger.

Sergeant Cecil makes his seasonal reappearance at Newbury in the Dubai Tennis Championship Stakes.

A great favourite with racing fans, not least at York, where he has shone in the past, Sergeant Cecil will have the services of Frankie Dettori in this Group 3 affair.

Dutch Art makes plenty of appeal in the Lane's End Greenham Stakes.

Unbeaten in four starts last season, when he was the top-rated British two-year-old, Dutch Art is trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam, who believes this classy colt has what it takes to make a bold show in the 2,000 Guineas in a fortnights' time. Chapple-Hyam will be hoping to see Dutch Art enhance his Classic chances here.

Back at Thirsk, the speedy Deserted Dane, who has been in Dubai this winter, should not be overlooked in the Thomas Lord Handicap, while Jack Rackham, who showed sure signs of ability last season, is fancied to make a successful reappearance in the Pinder Dale Maiden Stakes.
