WINDJAMMER and Violent Velocity, both successful at Catterick, head north to Scotland tomorrow with excellent prospects of following-up for their respective Ryedale trainers.

Tim Easterby has earmarked the Gilberts Handicap for Windjammer, who flew home a wide-margin winner on his latest start, winning with any amount to spare.

The handicapper has decided that Windjammer runs off a 10lb higher mark from Saturday, hence why Easterby is prepared to run him under a 6lb penalty tomorrow. With Dave Allan again in the saddle, he will be hard to beat and is awarded the nap vote.

Violent Velocity, trained by John Quinn, escapes a penalty in the Turf TV Handicap.

The gelding won an apprentices' race at Catterick, an event which does not carry penalties for winners, so Violent Velocity races off an identical mark tomorrow.

He has every chance of going in again.

River Falcon is fancied to come out on top in Musselburgh's feature race, the £20,000 DM Hall Conditions Stakes.

Jim Goldie's talented sprinter failed by only a head to catch Green Manalishi at Newbury a fortnight ago. A reproduction of that effort may be good enough to see him home in this five-furlongs dash.

Kevin Ryan has every chance of winning the EBF/edmonds. co.uk Maiden Auction with Fast Feet.

A beaten favourite on his debut at Nottingham, Fast Feet should have learned plenty from that outing. He is selected to come out on top of the equally promising In Honour.

Imperial Echo will not be short of supporters in the Forth One Handicap after his good second to Bustan at Thirsk on his recent reappearance.

Paul Fessey takes the mount on David Barron's gelding.

At Lingfield, make a note of the union between trainer Brian Meehan and jockey Frankie Dettori.

They have strong claims, while the potentially smart Roshanak (4.30), while Meehan - with jockey Steve Drowne - can also succeed with Andrasta (2.00).
