Hayley Turner has a fantastic strike-rate when teaming up with Gerard Butler and the duo combine again tomorrow with Baharah in the Captain Croc Makes Pontin's Rock Conditions Stakes at Wolverhampton.
Turner booted home 36 per cent of her rides for Butler last season and the pair will be hoping to maintain that statistic this year.
Butler may have announced he is looking for new premises but he has his small all-weather string in rare form.
And this four-year-old looks the sort with which the handler excels.
Baharah is lightly raced - she has only had three runs in her life - but has the profile of a horse who could go on to better things.
Third in a Newmarket maiden on her debut, she was beaten a short head at Lingfield on her next start before breaking her duck at Kempton in good style.
This is a steep step up in class, but it is fair to say the filly is the runner with most potential in this small but select field.
Kevin Ryan's Pegasus Dancer looks the one to beat in the Happy Half Term At Pontin's Claiming Stakes.
The Danehill Dancer gelding appears to be in the form of his life at present, winning a handicap at Lingfield and going close at Wolverhampton on his last two runs at Dunstall Park.
As this is a claimer and he has been performing with credit in a higher grade, his chances are obvious.
Pegasus Dancer also meets his rivals on better terms than he would do in a handicap which makes him the obvious selection.
Simon Callaghan has finally taken over the reins from his father Neville and has gone close with his first two runners.
Wynberg finished third when well backed at Wolverhampton recently, suggesting a big run was anticipated.
He is turned out again quickly in the digibet Sports Betting Handicap at Kempton and would appear to be one of very few in the race with any worthwhile recent form.
Derek Shaw has been banging in the winners lately and Sands Crooner runs in the digibet Handicap under a penalty, having scored at Lingfield on January 16.
Runner-up on both starts before that, he is obviously in great nick and should be followed.
Ferdy Murphy's Kalahari King can confirm the huge impression he made at Musselburgh last time in the skybetvegas.com Casino Novices' Hurdle at Doncaster.
The former French-trained seven-year-old came to Britain with a lofty reputation but it has to be said he was disappointing on his debut at the Edinburgh venue in November.
However, Murphy's horses always improve considerably for the first run and he may also have found two-and-a-half miles too far.
There was no mistake on his next start, though, as he oozed class and was merely pushed out to win by six lengths - which could have been doubled.
Murphy will be hoping for a smooth victory here and it will then be on to Cheltenham.
Philip Hobbs has had Ring The Boss entered up all over the place, so eager was the Minehead trainer to get his chasing career up and running.
Already a liking for soft ground has been shown so that should hold no fears.
To that end, the MC Seafoods Novices' Chase at Newbury looks an ideal starting point.
