Richard Fahey, who sent out five winners at Doncaster at the weekend, bids to continue his excellent start to the Flat season at Southwell tomorrow.

The Malton trainer has several good chances and it is not beyond the realms of possibility, given his current form, that he could complete a treble.

Fahey will be represented in both divisions of the southwell-racecourse.co.uk Maiden Stakes by Jamesway and Arctic Feeling, two horses with solid pedigrees to well as two-year-olds.

Fahey, who won the first juvenile contest of the campaign with Chiswick Bey on Saturday at Doncaster, clearly has his junior division well forward, with the rest of his string.

Coincidentally, both Jamesway and Arctic Feeling are sons of the same sire, Camacho.

Jamesway is a brother to Star Rover, a five-times winner as a two-year-old last season. Arctic Feeling is a half-brother to Ponting, already a winner on this course.

While it is impossible to be totally confident about the prospects of these two newcomers, both of whom will be ridden by Paul Hanagan, it will be no surprise to see one, or both of them, prevail.

Fahey and Hanagan can also score with old-timer Bo McGinty in the Dine At The Queen Mother Restaurant Handicap.

Although not the easiest of horses to win with these days, Bo McGinty has been running creditably in his latest starts. Maybe his winning turn is set to come around again.

The lightly-raced Bin End (4.00), for whom Jamie Spencer has been booked, and Bandanaman (5.00), who shaped well here on his comeback a couple of weeks ago, are two others to note.

At Kempton, Frankie Dettori and Mark Johnston can figure on the scoresheet.

Sir Frank Wappat, who made a winning return to action three weeks ago, promises to go well in the Panoramic Bar & Restaurant Handicap.

Likewise, Parhelion, a Wolverhampton winner on his latest start, should run a big race for Dettori and Johnston in the digibet.com Handicap.

Unraced last year, Parhelion has had only two races and is thus open to plenty of improvement yet. He can make the most of this handicap bow and is awarded the nap vote.

Capricornus is yet another of Johnston’s North Yorkshire raiders with decent prospects.

He has come up short in his two outings this season, but it is far too early to write him off yet and Dettori may be able to find the key to him in the digibet Casino London Mile Handicap.

The consistent Blue Neptune (5.30) and Mick Easterby’s recent winner Jeer (8.00) are two others to bear in mind.
