YORK-BASED Robert Winston, who is having his first ride in the Derby at Epsom this afternoon, returns to the reality of everyday racing at Brighton tomorrow, but should figure among the winners.

Winston teams-up with Alasoun for Sir Michael Stoute, also the trainer of Papal Bull, his Derby mount, in the Blue Chip Dynamic Maiden Stakes.

A beautifully-bred colt, Alasoun hardly looks star material on what he has achieved so far, but the latest of his three starts saw him finish fourth to stable-mate Duty at Yarmouth.

This is a lesser race and Alasoun will not get many better opportunities to score.

Bahama Mama can get punters off to a good start in the Blue Chip Original Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Jeremy Noseda's juvenile got off the mark at Newmarket, despite running very green, when getting up near the finish to score by a head from Bicoastal, who has won since.

Bahama Mama will surely be wiser this time and promises to prove hard to beat.

Also worth noting is Spirit Of Coniston in the CelebPoker.com Handicap over an exended five furlongs.

The Peter Grayson-trained sprinter finished a creditable third to Devine Dancer on this course last time and would not need to improve much on that effort to step up to the number-one slot this time.

At Southwell, Bob Woodhouse, who trains at Welburn, between York and Malton, can land the Book Hospitality At Southwell Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle with Tickateal, the mount of the experienced Dougie Costello.

A Musselburgh winner during the winter, Tickateal returned from an absence to run a good race in fourth at Market Rasen recently.

That outing should have put him spot-on, and the six-year-old is napped to return to the winning groove here on ground which should suit him.

Totally Scottish should be involved in the outcome of the Shane W Darby Memorial Handicap Hurdle.

Keith Reveley's charge won at Wetherby recently under trainer's son James, who takes the mount again tomorrow.

Carthys Cross has good prospects of clinching the opening Sam Boldly Memorial Beginners' Chase.

The seven-year-old, trained by Tom George, ran well in a similar race to finish second to Handy Money at Huntingdon.
