Paul Hanagan renews his acquaintance at Wolverhampton this afternoon with Jigajig and is napped to bring home the Kevin Ryan-trained sprinter in front.

The top Malton jockey steered Jigajig to an all the way success over this course and distance last month. Since then the three-year-old has turned out at Musselburgh over five furlongs and ridden by an inexperienced apprentice, and was beaten by a whisker in a photo-finish.

Back over six furlongs today, and with Hanagan back on board, Jigajig is taken to lift the BigTips.co.uk Handicap.

Kheley should go well in the Free Bets And Tips Handicap.

A course and distance winner, Mark Brisbourne’s four-year-old underlined her well-being with a good recent effort on turf at Warwick when going down by only half-a-length to Mayoman.

Freddie Tylicki can make his journey down to Wolverhampton from Malton worthwhile by scoring on Chief Red Cloud, just as he did three weeks ago.

Tylicki won a race over the same course and distance on John Weymes’ charge, who looks an improved performer. It would be no surprise to see him follow up.

At Musselburgh tomorrow, Fairy Shoes is napped to make it third time lucky in the TurfTV Maiden Stakes over five furlongs.

The Richard Fahey-trained filly was narrowly beaten on her debut at Pontefract last month and has since finished fifth on Kempton’s round course, where she hung to her left.

She is back to the minimum trip tomorrow from six furlongs and is worth another chance. She can provide Hanagan with another winner.

Hanagan is also an interesting booking by Bryan Smart for Excel Bolt in the European Breeders’ Fund Maiden Stakes.

Smart has been slow to strike with his juveniles this season, but he often uses this course to introduce a speedy youngster and this colt, a son of Exceed And Excel, is not to be underestimated.

Braille has good prospects in the Racing UK Handicap.

Trained at Sheriff Hutton by Tim Walford, Braille, a winner two seasons ago, drew a blank last term in a curtailed campaign, but there was much to like about his comeback effort at Nottingham a month ago when he finished sixth. If he can build on that display, he should go well here.

Also worth noting are grand old campaigner Fremen (2.10) and Jonny Lesters Hair (3.40), who ran a cracking race to finish second on this course a couple of weeks ago.
