BRIDGET GUERIN has become the fifth trustee of the York Race Committee.
She has joined chairman Nicholas Wrigley, Lord Halifax, Lord Grimthorpe and William Bethell on the body, which oversees the operation of the racecourse.
Currently managing director of Matrix Money Management in London, Guerin has close ties with Yorkshire racing. Her father, John Cleverly, was responsible for Beverley Racecourse for many years.
Wrigley said: “We are delighted to welcome Bridget to the York Race Committee. With her extensive experience in racing, marketing and finance we very much look forward to working alongside her.”
Guerin added: “Having been around Yorkshire racing all my life I am honoured to be asked to join the York Race Committee.
“My predecessors on the committee have done a fantastic job in making York a racecourse that is admired around the world by owners, racing professionals and racegoers alike. “I very much look forward to playing my part in further developing all aspects of the course."
