Kevin Ryan, fresh from a Royal Ascot success with Bapak Chinta in the Norfolk Stakes, relies on a course specialist at Beverley tomorrow.

The Hambleton trainer, whose horses have been terrific form all season, saddles Tribal Myth in the featured Siemens Chemical Process Handicap and the four-year-old is fancied to take plenty of beating.

Although not at his best on his latest outing at Thirsk last week, Tribal Myth promises to be a different proposition back at Beverley where he has gained all four of his career victories.

Twice a winner this term already, Tribal Myth gets on particularly well with Julie Burke, the apprentice, who has been sponsored this season by the racecourse.

Eva Moscrop is not nearly so well known to racing followers as Burke, but she might be better known if she can notch her first winner on King Of Swords, who is sportingly napped to return to form in the first division of the Stars Of The Future Apprentice Handicap.

Trained by Nigel Tinkler, King Of Swords has yet to strike this season, but he has run a couple of promising races, including at Carlisle two starts back, and he is a previous winner on this course. Well handicapped after his losing run, he can resume winning ways.

Palomar runs in the St John Ambulance Claiming Stakes, which is something of a comedown after last week travelling to Royal Ascot to contest the Ascot Stakes.

The Brian Ellison-trained gelding ran a sound race on that big stage, finishing seventh. This is a more straightforward assignment down in class and distance for a nine-times winner, who is proven on the Flat, over hurdles and also over fences.

Thinking, a winner here last time out for Tim Easterby, has good prospects of following up in the Chris Coole Champagne Handicap, while Mission Impossible is not without a chance in the second leg of the apprentices’ handicap after his fair effort from a poor draw at Thirsk last week.

At Wolverhampton today, Paul Hanagan has double prospects aboard Shamaal Nibras (3.30) and Royal Bajan (4.30).

Trained by Ed Dunlop, Shamaal Nibras was sent off favourite on her debut at Goodwood, but could manage only fourth place after weakening inside the final furlong. She should be all the better for that outing and is napped to come good this time.

Royal Bajan, trained by James Given, came good on turf at Nottingham last time in the hands of Paul Mulrennan, who would have ridden him again today only he broke his leg in a bad fall at Musselburgh last Friday.

Previously successful on this course, Royal Bajan looks a progressive performer.

Also worth watching out for are Trumpington Street (3.00) and course winner Visions Of Johanna (5.00), who will be partnered by Serena Brotherton in the amateur riders’ race as she seeks her 100th career success.
