DEFIANT manager Neil Warnock is refusing to give up hope in the race to make the npower Championship play-offs.

United take on Millwall at Elland Road tomorrow at 12.30pm looking to make inroads into the six points that stand between them and sixth-placed Brighton.

The Lions clash is followed by a trip to Leicester City on Tuesday and a visit to Crystal Palace the following Saturday.

Warnock, whose side have beaten Blackpool and drawn with Blackburn in their last two fixtures, said: “I don’t think there’s much wrong now.

“We just need a bit of luck with injuries.

“It’s a thin squad, but they’re a good group.

“I wish this side had kicked off the season.

“They did what we asked them to do last Saturday and I’m always proud of teams when they play like that.

“The rub of the green will come and we’ll just keep pushing on.

“We’ve got some difficult games coming up against Millwall, Leicester, and Palace, but if we can come through those and look towards the last ten games, it could still be anybody who gets in there.”
