LEEDS United have perfected the art of playing catch up this season - and boss Dennis Wise is sure his side can do it again.

The Whites have galloped up the Coca-Cola League One table since they wiped out their 15 point deduction in double-quick time.

However, Saturday's results conspired to drop Leeds down to sixth spot, the final play-off place.

United travel to Crewe tonight (7.45pm) knowing that three points will lift them back up to third, just a point behind second-placed Nottingham Forest.

"We have worked hard to get here, but we've not done anything yet," said Wise. "There is a long way to go and we've got to catch the teams above us. The fans are enjoying it and they know we are in with a chance.

"We should be clear but we are not, we are playing catch up. We need to keep getting points on the board."

A flurry of five signings in the first ten days of the January transfer window has left Wise with the opportunity to make changes tonight.

Darren Kenton, on loan from Leicester, is vying with Matt Heath to partner Paul Huntington at the heart of the defence.

Neil Kilkenny, signed from Oldham, starred against Northampton last time out and Wise may hand fellow new boys Seb Sorsa, Bradley Johnson and Peter Sweeney a role.
