FLAMINGO Land has partnered with Leeds United in a landmark deal for their upcoming Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The theme park in Kirby Misperton, near Malton, has been unveiled as the Whites’ official sleeve partner for the upcoming 2023/24 season – writing its name into the history books in the process as the Championship allows sleeve partners for the first time.

As part of the deal, the Ryedale attraction will feature on the sleeve of Leeds United’s men’s and women’s first teams, as well as their academy playing kits.

Fans will be able to apply a colour-matched Flamingo Land logo on the sleeve of their shirt for free when choosing to personalise their new home, away and third kits.

Flamingo Land returned as an official partner at Elland Road during last year’s disappointing Premier League campaign, having featured as the front-of-shirt partner for their academy for the 2011/12 season.

They are also the stadium sponsors for Vanarama National League North outfit Scarborough Athletic and the front-of-shirt sponsors for the NCEL premier's Pickering Town.

Over the course of the season, Leeds will work with the attraction, including providing exclusive fan offers for experiences at both at the theme park and Elland Road.

Gordon Gibb, Flamingo Land CEO, admitted that he was “extremely proud” to partner with the West Yorkshire club in the landmark deal.

“Flamingo Land first sponsored Leeds United’s Academy 13 years ago and have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the club ever since,” he said.

“Flamingo Land remains committed to assisting and supporting regional sports from grassroots level to professional organisations.

“We are extremely proud to be on Leeds United’s new first team kit and wish the team all the very best in their efforts to get back to where this club belongs.”

That sentiment was echoed by Paul Bell, executive director at Leeds United, who added:

“This is the first season the EFL have allowed clubs to obtain an official sleeve partner and we are delighted to have expanded our partnership with Flamingo Land.

“We look forward to working with Gordon and his team across the season and providing our supporters with some great offers to visit the attraction.”

The new kit looks likely to be given its first run out tomorrow night against Manchester United in Oslo, with local fans able to see it in action against AS Monaco at the LNER Community Stadium on July 22.

Daniel Farke will take charge of his first competitive fixture when Leeds welcome Cardiff City to Elland Road on the opening weekend of the Championship season on August 6 (2:30pm).
